Book Description:

Some memories never fade – some hearts never stop hoping

When work as a photographer takes her back to a village she knows well, Ava isn’t expecting Jack to be as picture perfect as he is in her memories from all those years ago.

Set on the outskirts of Somerley, Sapphire Hotel is in need of a makeover. Its owners, Jack’s parents, are not keen on change after the death of his brother, but he encourages them to hire a PR company to boost trade. Whoever is sent to do the job will have their work cut out and, as project manager, will have to answer to him.

An untimely meeting has old friendships and emotions reawakened. Will Ava discover that true love isn’t a burden, but a wonderful thing? And will Jack find a way to let go of the past and risk his heart again?

My Thoughts:

Not only does Ava fall for the charms of Somerley in this book but so does the reader! The author swept me away with the fabulous descriptions that were so idyllic and had me wanting to pack my bags and move there.

There is so much to fall in love with in this story. Not only the setting but the characters also. Being an animal lover, Graham the dog, definitely captured a piece of my heart. I so enjoyed getting to know all the characters, especially Ava and Jack and his family. There are moments of humor, warmth, friendship, romance, the list goes on.

Happier Days is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. It’s a story about not letting the past hold you back, forgiveness, rekindled romance and finding the courage to go after your hopes and dreams. I honestly felt so uplifted when I finished this book and had a huge grin on my face. I would love for the author to write more books featuring the characters as Jack has a big family so have no doubts there are plenty more stories. A heartwarming page turner with bags of charm!

My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book.
